Instant music recommendations
Whether it's Spotify for a music fix, Xbox Live for a friendly massacre, or Facebook to figure out what important special occasion you forgot, we trust more and more of our lives to a huge range of online services.
Isn't it time we made them work for us?
Combustion Studios creates apps for your favourite places on the web to make them do new things, visualise your data in interesting ways, and generally be an upstanding member of society.
An issue with Recobud today meant that users in the UK were unable to use the app for most of the day. This was due to a security certificate expiring at the beginning of the month which was not properly handled by the application.
I’m sorry if this meant you missed out on any recommendation joy. The good news is that an update has just been released which rectifies this problem. The next time you start Recobud, you’ll be prompted to download the quick update. If you haven’t yet had a chance to try Recobud, it’s free and waiting!
If you’re still have any issues, don’t hesitate to get in touch – please feel free to ping @cstudios on Twitter!
This is the new combustion-studios.com for a new Combustion Studios – focusing on making lovely little apps that help your favourite social networks – like Facebook and Twitter, your favourite media services – like Last.fm and Spotify, and the other software you use every day, be a little more you.
Alongside the new website, check out the first of these new apps launching today. Recobud watches your Last.fm account so whenever you play music on any device or media player that can scrobble to your Last.fm account, you’ll get an instant pop-up recommendation for a new song we think you might like, all generated on the fly thanks to Last.fm. Also with a single click, you can check out the recommended track on your favourite streaming service or download store. Today, Recobud launches with support for Amazon MP3, with more partners on the way soon! There’s loads of other tweakables to make Recobud work just how you like it – so check out the full docs for more, and please do get in touch with your feedback.
Recobud is just one app launching today, so come back often, or follow Combustion Studios on Facebook or Twitter, for regular updates about what else is on its way!
